There will be road closures and speed restrictions on Abbey Road, Oaks Road and Charley Road from the end of October. The attached documents give details.

Heritage Open Day

Heritage Open Day

The World War Two site of the RAF 80 Wing Transmitting Station will be open to the public during the national Heritage Open Days of September 14th and 15th from 10.30 to 16.00

Charley Heritage Group has applied for Grade 11 Listing for the site because of its importance in the defence of our nation during the Second World War.

Charley Cross Roads

On Thursday 4th July Councillors Havers and Pitts and Clerk Mr Brian Duncombe went with members of Shepshed Town Council to a meeting with David Mouland and Fiona Blockley (Traffic and Signals Team Manager) of Leics CC Highways Team to discuss the number of traffic accidents occurring at the Charley/Iveshead Road cross roads.
