Planning Meeting Charley Parish Council

There will be a Planning Meeting on Friday 16th March at 19.00 in the Oaks Storer Hall re an application to install solar panels on land at The Old Vicarage, Copt Oak to provide sustainable energy to the dwelling.

WW1 Commemoration Meeting

The meeting to discuss arrangements for commemorating the end of WW1 and the Three Churches Flower Festival postponed last week will now be held on Tuesday, 13th March at 19.00 hours at Hillside Bungalow. New Police Office in Coalville

From today (Monday 8 January) police officers in Coalville are moving into their new office at the back of the fire station on Broad Street.

The old building on Ashby Road had become too big for modern policing purposes and was expensive to run and costly to repair. The site has already been sold to a housing developer.

Latest News re Broadband in Charley

The following message arrived from BT the day after the Parish Council Meeting on January 3rd.

"We envisage that after contract 2 has been delivered, so by then end of 2018, the broadband coverage for Charley will be just over 50%.
