Councillor Mrs Havers has served on the Parish Council since 1997 and as Chairman since 2009. She has lived in Charley for over 36 years and has worked on many activities involving the residents of the parish including in 1999 helping to inaugurate Charley Heritage Group; the Millennium Three Churches Flower Festival; the Heritage Open Days at the RAF Signals site and the Flower Festival for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth's Golden Jubilee.
